Information for Authors
Terms of Submission
The Transactions of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics publishes research papers up to 16 pages in length and survey papers requested by the editorial board. Research papers exceeding this page limit should be pre-agreed with the editorial board.
By submitting a manuscript, the author acknowledges that it is original and not under simultaneous consideration by any other journal. Papers should be written in English.
Preparing a manuscript for submission
The manuscript file must be prepared according to the journal's LaTeX STYLE FORM.
References should be listed in alphabetical order and all entries in the reference list must be cited in the text. Titles of periodicals should be abbreviated in accordance with "Mathematical Reviews". The following are sample references:
1. Stempak, K.: Almost everywhere summability of Laguerre series, Studia Math. 100 (2), 129-147 (1991).
2. Stein, E.M.: Singular integrals and differentiablity properties of functions, Princeton Universty Press (1970).
Submission to TIMM
All manuscripts must be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Authors are asked to send both LaTeX and PDF files as attachments to their mails.
A manuscript will be considered by an editor and, if it is judged appropriate for the journal, the editors will handle the peer review process. Papers are sent to two or three referees for evaluation. The final decision on publication is made by the editorial board.
Copy Editing and Proofs
PIMM will copy edit the manuscript to make it suitable for final publication. Authors are requested to prepare the manuscript carefully before submitting it for publication to minimize corrections in the proof stage. The proofs sent to the corresponding author must be returned to the editors within three days of their receipt.
When a paper is included in a print issue, the version available in In Press section is updated to include the final citation details. These details are volume/issue number, publication year and page numbers. The paper moves on the journal's web site from the In Press area into the appropriate volume and issue in the Volumes section.
Publication on an Open Access basis means that authors retain the copyrights of their papers. All open access articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License, which permits unrestricted use, provided that the original work is properly cited.
